  1. This game is not shaping up as one of those easy
  2. ready cash games.

  4. However, a double finesse in diamonds just might
  5. be the saving play.
  6.  
  7. When there are two missing cards in the suit, and
  8. partner has the top card and two other honors, a
  9. double finesse is possible if you have two cards.
  10. Just lead your lowest card and play to beat
  11. second hand with the lowest honor.  Of course,
  12. whether you win or lose, run the finesse in the
  13. same direction again.
  14. The probabilities are:
  15. 25%, left hand will have both missing honors.
  16.      (You will take at least 3 tricks in suit) 
  17. 50%, the two missing honors will be split.
  18.      (You will take at least 2 tricks in suit)
  19. 25%, neither honor in the left hand.
  20.  (You will take 1 trick, the original ready cash)
